Allenafaith 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Share Posted February 13, 2017 I'm actually surprised that my parents are still alive and I'm blessed. I watched my mom AND dad both have heart attacks. My mom had hers on April 12th on the couch at my house while the ambulance was coming, and my dad had his December 10th literally right when they got him in the hospital room. If we would have gotten stuck at a red light, he probably would have died in the car. Luckily, the hospital we went to did an excellent job and they were both kept alive and now they're in okayish health. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's going to be years before they go. It's because I had quite a firm but fair upbringing that is what always happens in my family. If I ever had kids, I will be like my parents. It's a 50 minute drive but we still make the time to go down there. I've been fortunate that my parents love my husband & I had great in-laws as well. I don't know what I'd do without my parents as they are literally my best friends! I feel for those who don't have a good relationship with their parents.
