Identity Politics (warning movie spoiler - PCU movie)

Identity politics has gotten insane in recent years!   Well, this was predicted even back when I was in high school (1994).  Those were the days of Clinton and the movie PCU.  If you haven't seen it, you should.

 

Anyway, PCU was about some geeky dude thrown into this war zone of conflicting political opinions at a college.   I mean, you got the preppie  Young Republicans, the overly self-righteous idealists, the stoner hippies.  Well, anyhow, those groups were the main stars on the movie.

 

But anyhow, most college students are probably just wanting to be left alone to pursue their degree and this comedy seems to be the "unsaid voice" of them.  So do you agree identity politics has gotten crazy?

I am not a fan of this non-sense. I think it is insane that a small group of people are ruining people's lives left and right. They label people all these nasty things, discriminate against them, get them fired... It is a mess. They preach about being loving and tolerant yet they act like complete nazis. The irony there. I am not on the right or the left, I fall in the center. I see issues on both sides but the left... They have lost their damn minds and I can't even stomach it anymore.
