I was just wondering with the release of the Nintendo Switch, is the 3DS still a 'thing' in terms of a portable console or is now just a defunct after-thought? I'm only asking because it's been awhile since i've actually spoken to anyone about the console or even seen a release of a game for the console. It's still one of my fave consoles and actually the one thing I always take on holiday with me to smash a Pokemon marathon out whilst I'm on the plane. Does anyone here still have one?

They stopped making games for it last year. I actually do have one. My girlfriend's younger brother gave it to me so I was able to play some games on it. I haven't touched it in a while though.

I loved it how a year and half ago Nintendo said they still support it and now its completely dead :P but yeah it still has a lot of games floating around for it, games that still intend to play.

I know the Switch is portable, however, I can take the charging cable for my 3DS when I go somewhere and charge my 3DS while outside of my home.  My Switch, I can only charge that at the house.  I may take the Switch outside the house with me but only if I'm not straying too far from home.  If I am going far away from home, then I'll take my 3DS with me where I can take the charging cable also.
