What would you guys consider a good price for the PS5? And what would you consider as too expensive to buy at launch?

For me, the maximum I'm prepared to spend is around £450 at launch. And that is only if they have a different colour from what was announced.

I'd say £500-600 is a good and fair price. Anything more is just OTT and anything less is just wishing.

I'm thinking between the 450-550 range myself, but hard to say, I really feel like MS will undercut their price with the new xbox.

I feel like Sony is going to try and undercut Microsoft. The Xbox Series X is more powerful and I doubt they could seriously undercut the PS5. I wonder who is going to announce their price first though

You forget that MS has more money than Sony, they can easily undercut Sony and not flinch.

I've always feel like Sony has always offered the cheaper platform than Microsoft. So I think Microsoft could be like £/$100 more.

This is too expensive for me. I can’t afford it after paying off all my bills that cost way too much currently in life.

It's a bit expensive but the upgrade is worth it. It will most likely drop down to a more affordable price after around 2 years

I say between $300 to $500, that's on avenge price anyway in many cases. Right?

Yeah it's expensive and you've clearly got to prioritize important bills but if you've got the money, it ain't too bad.

it's not bad really, though I'm curious how much they will charge for a pro down the line.

It will be interesting. Hopefully there is a trade-in program from Amazon or some other reputable place because I would love to upgrade to the Pro eventually

I find it insane how much people are willing to pay for the console. These stupid people stealing the consoles and reselling them wouldn't be able to get away with it if people weren't willing to buy from them.

I remember prior to the launch and price announcement, my brother's friend insisted the PS5 would be no cheaper than $699. I told him it wouldn't be a $700 console, instead it'll launch at $499.  He still insisted aso we made a bet, whoever was right had to pay the other the price difference from the actual price.  Well, I won the bet, and $200.
