Sonikku1011 3 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Anyone here going to purchase a Playstation Portal? It's basically just a remote play device that's officially by Sony themselves. You can remote play PS4 and PS5 games on your phone already if you don't wish to purchase the Playstation Portal. I think it's hilarious that the abbreviation for this is PSP, I just wish it was a standalone handheld like the PSP was though. I might get it in the future when the price drops, my phone is a bit outdated and might not run the games all that great. Plus I already own all the PS consoles/handhelds that have been released, I might as well get the Portal to complete my collection when it gets released. You can read more about it on Sony's blog. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/accessories/playstation-portal-remote-player/
Dismal_Bliss 1 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 This could be a tempting purchase IF it was going to work well over my carrier's 5G network, or a public Wi-Fi when I am away from home. Then I could take it on vacation or have it on hand to occupy the kids, etc. But if I am at home, then I don't see the point. I have a big surround sound system and a 65" LG OLED TV, so if I am gonna play games, that's where its at
