Google Play is great for this because they let you try the game and then get a refund if you don't want to keep it. I mainly stick to free games nowadays. Some of the games do have in-built purchase, but that's totally optional. I have been playing PUBG, Clash Of clans and Candy crush on my phone, and all of them are free to play games.
