If we find we have to use them too often, we just stop playing as some of the games do not make sense. One had us find a ruby & we were going out of our minds. Did the Cheat Guide & found out it was another one lost in translation as it was a BLUE gem. We stopped playing after several of those mistranslations. Not fun that way. However, though, some levels are just impossible, and a person sometimes wants to beat the whole game very badly. Anyway, I'd say an occasional cheat guide won't hurt things too much. Well, at least one time, the result of the cheat guide made me think: "Why didn't I think of that?", because the answer was so simple.
