Disc-based or cartridge-based Nintendo?

Do you prefer Nintendo's cartridge or disc based consoles? Personally, I think their best console was the Gamecube, I really feel that's where Nintendo peaked, personally. What are your thoughts?  I really hope their next console is a home console that's once again blu ray based and a bit more powerful this time around.

I loved the mini game cube disks, although it always bugged me that they basically came in full size cases.  I do love the cartridge feels, but having a console that uses disks and can play movies/CDs is just a added plus that will outweigh any other perk on my entertainment stand.
