Shortie861 11 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 If you are not aware, Microsoft and Xbox will be releasing a new console which is a Carbon Black Xbox Series S. Instead of having 500GB of storage, will have 1TB of storage for an extra £50 ($50) which is not bad at all. My daughter and my eldest son have said they would like one each for Christmas this year so that is the plan. Are you picking up the Carbon Black Xbox Series S when it releases? I believe the console is already out for purchase as it was rumoured to be released on the 1st of September. Spartan 0 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I don’t think so, after seeing the leak I’ll probably only upgrade to the discless 2tb series x. However if I did decide to get my kid a console first and not give him mine when I upgraded the black series s with 1tb is definitely an interesting options.
_Al 2 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 I still have an Xbox Series S sat unplayed. That's how much time I spend playing games! (Not enough). I think that this move towards larger hard drives for dedicated games machines is a step in the wrong direction; unless you have games which - on install - use all that space. Internet is getting faster all the time and it won't be long until nothing is stored on hard drives and it all just comes direct from the cloud on demand. No, I won't.
Uncrowned Guard 7 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I don't know if I will grab one, but I am glad that it comes in black as once my OG Xbox dies in our home theater system, it will likely be an S model to replace it and I did not want a white console sitting like a light bulb between all the other black systems on the media tower we have.
