First RPG you played

Which was the very first Role-Playing (RPG) video game that you played ever? 

 

The very first RPG that I played was Grand Theft Auto Vice City. I had literally fallen in love with the game and the RPG concept overall. I didn't used to like any other games for a year at least when I started playing GTA VC. As soon as I completed it, I got GTA San Andreas and continued playing it for hours everyday. I fell in love with RPG games only because of GTA. Thank you, Rockstar Games!

I believe it would have been Runescape.

Hard to say, if we're considering Pokemon to be a RPG, probably that. If we're considering MMORPG's, it'd be RuneScape. If it's something else, I'd probably have to say Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones or Yu Yu Hakusho: Tournament Tactics. I played a ton of RPG's growing up because it was my favorite genre. 😍

I believe it was The Magic Candle on my Commodore 64 back in the late 1980's. This was my first RPG that got me hooked on the genre. Today there are a lot of games considered RPG's but they aren't like the classic's by any means.

 

After that, I discovered Final Fantasy on the original Ninento, and was instantly hooked.
