A game certainly not meant for everyone but for the folks who like survival games; it's a must own. For people who have a CPU strong enough to handle this game on full visual; you won't be disappointed! The atmosphere and lighting effects are amazing!

The crafting system is good but not great; I wish with the updates they would add more things to craft. My main gripe is the fact that there really isn't much of a back story to drive you through the game. Whether or not this will come once the game is officially launched; I suppose we all wait and see. That last phrase has seemed to be on repeat for me with this game..."we'll wait and see".. there are alot of elements to this game that could be added to..but...we'll wait and see.

The Forest has been in "development" for a long time now. One thing that worries me is the fact that this game was picked up by consoles. Once that happened it seemed as though the devs stopped adding content to the PC version.

Because of the solitude this game exudes; I would strongly recommend playing online with a friend! Connectivity has always been strong with minimal to no lag or frame rate issues.

    • The story is very complex (but incomplete in MP ), is like a puzzle to build the story. [Story: 9.1/10] :)
    • For an Indie Game, have a great and realistic graphics (Have also options for optimization, if you have a bad computer you can still play it!). [Graphics: 9.3/10]
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) are pretty good. [AI: 8.0]
    • Map with a good size, resources are well distributed on map, complex cave system with lots of thing to explore, abandoned campsites, etc. [Map and Resources: 9.8/10]
    • Good crafting and building system. [Crafting: 8.5/10]
    • Good gameplay. Hunger, health, thirst and stamida works well and are a little complex (like, you need to know which plants are edible or which plants are medicinal, soda makes the health of the character bad...) [Gameplay: 8.9/10]
    • Multiplayer // Co-op - such as more fun since you are playing with others . [MP/CO: 10/10]
    • Enemies - Have a good variation: Animals (sharks, crocodiles, boar...), cannibals (There are different tribes and different types) and mutants (Armsy, Virginia, Cowman, Babies and BOSS). [Enemies: 9.6/10]
    • "Chooses" - In the game you have several choices you can make. (Examples: You can play without enemies, you can survive without following the story, can select the difficulty...) [Variety: 9.9/10]
    • Good to spend hours playing! (Infinite gameplay time) [Gameplay time: 8.7/10]

(There are more good things, but you can find them playing the game! Buy it, 100% recommended!)

Never heard of the forest prior to reading this blog post. Seems like a interesting game that I'll have to try once I clear my gaming backlog. Thank you for sharing!

    • Does anyone here still have an original Xbox? I got one for free a few years ago from one of my coworkers. She thought the console wasn't working, but it turns out the av cables were faulty. Best of all, it was already modded and had a few emulators on it! Though the mod itself is pretty old. It's also one of the later models that doesn't have the issue with the clock capacitor leaking so I'm luck in that regard too! I think it's worth getting an original Xbox since not every original Xbox game runs on the 360 let alone not everyone even has a 360.

    • I recently upgraded to using Xbox Elite 2 Controller and it feels so good using it. It's high time they get rid of the AAA batteries used in my former controller. Also, I like the textured grip this controller is designed.

What do you think about Elite Controller 2?

    • What are your favorite N64 games? For me you have some of the hunch as Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64. I also really liked Pilot Wings and Destruction Derby 64 which were a bit lesser known

In order to play Axie Infinity, you need NFTs called Axies. You can buy Axies through the game marketplace, however, in order to buy Axies, you need Ethereum. (The game is built on Ethereum Blockchain). Once you have Axies, you can start making money through battles or breeding Axies.

    • With games releasing all the time, depending on the games you enjoy you could be picking up your next game very soon or it could be a while before you pick up another game yet.

As much as I will not be picking this game up but instead, waiting for it to release on Game Pass this week, I am waiting on Starfield so I guess that will be the next game I jump on at least for now.

What game are you planning on picking up next?
