Why is Minecraft everyone’s favorite these days? What differentiates it from the rest, and why should you play it too?
Let’s take an in-depth look on the game itself, why it is on the top of children’s video games list along with some of its educational benefits. Yes, you heard that right. It does have educational benefits.
The Game
Minecraft was developed and founded by Markus Persson in 2011 and was released by Mojang. It is a sandbox video game that allows players to build structures in 3D, in whatever way they wish, making it exciting and indulging. Hence, it increases the creativity of the players. Minecraft also includes activities such as crafting and exploration, to name a few. So basically, players can roam freely or can do different activities. Singular and multiple players can play at a time, and there are various gameplay modes that they can be used
 
 Survival mode: The mode in which players have to gather resources for their survival and maintenance of health. Creative mode: In this mode, players have an abundance of resources to build and can even fly. Adventure mode: Adventure mode is the most interesting one as the players can play custom maps that are made by other players. In a way, it allows players to challenge the other players. However, it has its limitations as well. Spectator mode: In this specific mode, players act like spectators. They don’t have to build or destroy anything and are allowed to roam, freely. Hardcore mode: In the hardcore mode, the difficulty level is fixed at hard, and the players have only one chance of survival. Means that if the players die, then they cannot play in the same world again.
  Educational Benefits
Social media, merchandise, and Minecon have played a significant role in the up bring and popularity of the Minecraft. As Minecraft is forcing people to utilize their minds and increase their imagination, it also aides in different educational lessons such as mathematics, programming, and project planning. Along with these educational benefits, it also forces people to learn time management skill.
Conclusion
In short, we can say that Minecraft is a game that indulges in the instincts and aspirations of man and therefore, there is no need to worry about this new addiction in children given that it provides entertainment as well as educational skills

What's your favorite FPS of all time? Mine has to be Half-Life 2 hands down. That game is just so well made, and revolutionary for it's time with it's graphics and advanced physics engine.

Truck Driver is an upcoming trucking game for the PS4, Xbox one and PC. It will be released on console on the 19th of September 2019 and slightly later for PC. Are you looking forward to it? And do you think you will get it?

I heard they are releasing the next Xbox next year in 2020, is it still worth buying and Xbox One at this point? 
 
I feel like if I get one now, I would just regret it which is having me lean in the way of getting a Switch instead. 

Which do you prefer? I am more into the survival aspect and less about crafting. The survival game gives the extra challenge and I feel more rewarded for gathering and collecting materials. Although, creative is great for experimenting and learning how to play the game.

I heard about it being great but when I go on forums to see who is playing it, no one seems to be. Is it true they wipe the servers once a month and you lose your progress?
 
I am not sure how I feel about that if true. I did consider getting it a few weeks back but it appears to be dying out or dead.

As mentioned in my introduction thread, I took a break from gaming due to working and finishing up school. I have the time to play now and I want to go back and play some games that I missed out on.
 
Share some games from 2012 to 2018 that you would recommend someone going back and playing. 

I never have used a steering wheel and I want to get one to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 more realistic. What are some good steering wheels out there for $50 USD?

I currently don't play any, but I have tried out a few of them. Nothing that made me want to stick around though.

I use to play World of Warcraft, but I didn't want to pay for it after level 20. I also played on private servers, but the gaming experience isn't the same.

Well, do you?  Were you one of the people to buy Sony's console the minute it was available?  Do you like the games you own for it so far?
Or have you decided against buying one for whatever reason?
Myself, I don't own a PS4 yet, but I may get one in future, simply because I want to cover games on all platforms and hence need to own as many consoles as possible.

Have you ever had those disturbing dreams where something really bad happens, then you suddenly wake up and it stays on your mind for day(s)?
 
I haven't had any major disturbing dreams like that recently, but I do occasionally get dreams that tend to stick in my mind for up to a few days at a time.

I remember reading the abridged version, even then it was a long book to read. There is quite a bit in the book that didn't make it into the move. I guess it would have required making multiple movies to make it.
 
One of the things that I find interesting, is how complex the character relations are int he book.

How would you pitch it to studio execs and who would you go to to see if the series could be done? Who would you want in it? What sort of characters would you want? What would the series be about? How many seasons would you hope you could make?
