Due to Bayside Gamers possible recent move to a new forum software, I have decided to make this thread.
The general idea of the thread for those who are uninformed, is that this thread is a place to say hello when you just got online, to say goodbye when you are getting off, and for general chit chat about Hello/Goodbye.
Any discussion in this thread that generates allot of replies to a specific subject, it is requested that a topic get made for that discussion, so that one can continue to discuss that without getting interrupted by people entering the conversation blindly.

Internet Explorer Web Browser End of Support!
News is that Internet Explorer will no longer be supported. Internet Explorer has been clinging to life for a lot longer than many anticipated. It uses an archaic rendering engine, has numerous vulnerabilities that impact both security and privacy, requires workarounds to get it to work with many websites, including ours, and has been surpassed by Microsoft's own newer Edge browsers (in two versions.) Microsoft has announced that support for Internet Explorer 11 will end August 17, 2021. At that time, all products under the Microsoft umbrella which may currently still use Internet Explorer, such as Outlook, OneDrive or Office 365 will stop supporting the browser. Support for Internet Explorer within the Microsoft Teams web app ends November 30 of this year. Meanwhile, the legacy edition of Microsoft Edge is set to end March 9, 2021.

Most website nowadays fully supports all mainstream modern browsers, however as of the upgrade it will no longer support Internet Explorer in any shape or form. If you continue to use Internet Explorer after the upgrade then you do so at your own peril. No support will be given for it. If you currently use Internet Explorer to access website's then there's never been a better time to switch to a newer and better browser. Here are some great options:

Google Chrome (my personal choice)
The world's most successful web browser, packed full of features with a modern rendering engine: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/

Mozilla Firefox
A privacy and security focused browser, with a feature set to match its focus and a fast rendering engine:   https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/

Microsoft Edge
Now available based on Chromium, it's a fast and efficient browser, has plenty of features, a modern rendering engine and synchronises with your Microsoft account (the same one as used for Windows 10, if you use that feature): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge

Since its release in July 2015 for PC, and following a rebuilt as a Chromium-based browser in 2019, Microsoft Edge has been praised as a great alternative to Internet Explorer, but seeing as private users already have had an alternative to Internet Explorer for years, not a lot of people actually seem to use it and that's not necessarily because it uses Blink as its engine. People actually still using Internet Explorer are enterprise customers whose digital infrastructure depends on the browser. Those customers can still access pages built for IE11 using an Internet Explorer legacy mode within Microsoft Edge.

But I'd encourage any Internet Explorer users to switch browsers now and give yourselves plenty of time to get used to using a new browser before the Internet Explorer support is officially dropped.

If you're a gaming fan its well worth taking the time out of your day to watch the new docu-series on Netflix called High Score. Its all about the history of videogames and has been an entertaining watch.

So far they've looked at Ataris, arcade games, Nintendo and Roleplaying games. Anyone else seen it? I'm really enjoying it.

Confession: I never played World of Warcraft. Okay, that's a lie, I did play it for about five minutes and hated the cartoony graphics so logged out and never went back. For me the best MMO experience I ever had was Age of Conan. Realistic-ish graphics. Human-stock avatars and human and 'real world' to an extent enemies (ignoring the odd dragon!).

I was so hugely invested in Age of Conan that I had about ten different level 80 characters in play. I loved the journey to 80 and didn't enjoy the endgame raiding elements quite so much, but when Age of Conan was popular it was superb. I wish it would come back and be that same game as it was way back when it was released. If you could re-release and remaster an MMO, which would it be?

What are you guys hoping will be included in the box with the PS5? Are you hoping for a headset/earphones for the controller? Or do you think they will not include one this time as the controller has an in-built mic?

I could binge play for hours a few games in turn. And because I have very severe Asperger’s and OCD, I’m fixated on the few usual games I love from at least 20 years ago such as “Super Smash Bro’s”, “Tales of franchise”, “Mario Kart franchise” and all the other Mario games on my GBA and Wii. Gaming is life for me personally.

In my opinion, Runescape is arguably one of the best and most popular MMORPG games available to the PC. It was released in January 2001 and is developed and published by Jagex.

Has anyone played this game? I associate it most with my childhood but I know that many people are still keen to play this game deeper into their adulthood. I used to love it in my younger years but now I have too many responsibilities to fully focus on a game like this. Instead I just tune in every now and then for that nostalgic feeling.

I have whilst younger in my childhood and as a teen, but nowadays because I have ADHD and a short attention span, I can’t do it anymore. I’ve played more than a hundred hours a game in one shot with « Tales of Symphonia”. How about you and which games?

Used this gentleman's video to fly to a small town that I was having trouble doing under VFR. If you have GPS coordinates (and he shows how to get GPS coordinates using Google Maps), you can fly from a nearby airfield/airport right to your destination using a Cessna with the G1000. Perhaps there will be easier ways in a future update. But this works and I could not find another way to do it.

I'm sure we might have at least experienced this one way or the another in our gaming careers! You're doing well on a game and you miss out on saving it just because you want to get that little bit further before stopping and poof, off goes the power and your game has gone with it. Ever experienced that pain? For me, I was playing GTA SA when it happened . That iconic "All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ" mission was where I was. So I was playing that and I was just failing to knock off the last two gangsters chilling on top of the train. So, after a little while of failing I managed to do it at last! Then suddenly, off goes the TV and all the lights. All lost, all that effort gone. Turns out our oven tripped the house - I cursed the oven that day!

What about you? What's your blackout story?

What do you guys think about the latest FIFA instalment? For many people, it is actually one of the worst FIFAs that EA has managed to create so we are hoping that the next one is a lot better.

12 months of Gold costs £40 pounds which is around $53 for those who don't live in the UK. It's quite expensive, and if you can get it for free thats a bonus! Does anyone know of any Get-Paid to sites where you complete surverys and tasks and you get rewarded by Gift Cards?

As we get near to the release date so are more updates, If you prefer Steam to the Windows Store, it's available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1250410/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator/

There's no price as of yet and no indications as to whether you'll be able to upgrade between editions on Steam or buy additional add-ons via Steam.

Suits is a show that I have been recommend to watch for ages now. I never really bothered too because of the amount of school work I had to do but ever since lockdown, I have had a lot of free time and along with binge watching YouTube, I have binge watched some Netflix shows. I also started Suits a few weeks ago and I am addicted to the show. It's so good. Just love the Mike and Harvey chemistry. They are like brothers. Donna is extremely wise and a great character throughout with great thoughts of wisdom throughout. Louis is probably my favourite character because of his wide range of emotions he conveys throughout. He makes me laugh but at the same time you hate him for some of the stuff he does. But, as episodes develop, it makes sense and he is actually kind-hearted and you feel really sorry for the way he's treated despite how hard he works at the firm.

I won't reveal a lot of the show because there may be some of you that haven't watched the show and I don't want to spoil it for some and also I haven't finished it yet. I just started the final season (S9) and I think that the show starts to fall a bit during S8 after... well I won't say lol. But the beginning of the series is amazing and this is something that I would strongly suggest some to watch. I've been watching around 3-4 episodes a day since I started this show and I only have 10 episodes left now.
